Using Our Door hinge Jigs

To use our Door hinge Jigs you must have:

  • A router with bush support
  • A 17mm Bush Guide
  • A 10mm Straight router bit

Please note that you can change bush guide size and router bit size along as you maintain the 7mm difference between the two.

Our Door hinge jigs come in 2 peices, The Top plate and the fence. The Fence slides into place via the dove tail style grove.

you are able to use the jig without the fence, this is especially useful when routing door frames with archives in situ.

Clamp the jig to the door or frame

Set up your router with a 17mm bush guide and 10mm straight router bit

You will need to square up the corners of the cut out either with a chisel or we like to use a hammer corner chisel to make this process that bit quicker

Finally insert your hinge and screw into place for a perfect finish.
